Tiffany Studios Desk Lamp

Description

This vintage early 20th century art glass & bronze desk lamp was designed by the Tiffany Studios, New York. Three lily pads decorate the top of the bases circular platform, shortly above which, three arms branch out supporting a colorful Tiffany favrile art glass shade. Also, from the center of the bronze platform arises a column terminating in the socket holding the bulb that illuminates this stunning lighting device. The dome shape shade is decorated with broad pulled feather motifs (4) against an iridescent background. The condition is excellent save a few tiny fitter nicks. The lamp is newly rewired with cloth covered cord & the switch works perfectly. The bronze heat cap that is not original to the lamp. The shade is signed “L.C.T.” & the base is stamped “Tiffany Studios, New York” & numbered “426”.
