Early to Mid 1900s Generic Punch Board Trade Stimulator - - - -
    25 Punch Board - - -
These were used in General Stores/Neighborhood Stores to Stimulate Trade on Special Purchase Items. The top has a blank area to put a picture of the Item/Items being sold or promoted.
Each of the small punches has a random number from 1 to 25. The Large Grand Prize Punch has a name corresponding to one of the names in the two columns. One way the sellers used these was to sell you an item like a small fruit cake. With each purchase you got a punch and got to put your name next to the name on the board corresponding to the # you punched. When the board filled up the Grand Prize punch was punched and the name next to the punch name got a Giant Fruit Cake. (Many sellers also found ways to use the boards for cash awards - surprise - surprise)
    Size: 5" X 6 1/2"
